Recently the Rolling Stone featured a review of the re-release of Steve Earle’s “Copperhead Road,” noting it’s significance in the catalog of this prolific and excellent songwriter. “Copperhead Road” had been an important album for me in my past, and I pulled it out again, ripped it to the computer, and put it in the IPod.
I won’t give a full review other than to say that I am again amazed at how good an album this is. There really isn’t a bad song, and given that the project was released twenty years ago (can that really be true!) I am struck by how well both the music and the production hold up. This is a timeless album that should be a part of your collection.
You can download it from Amazon for $7.99. Click on the album cover if you are interested.
