People Aren’t Even Buying Bibles

Nashville-based publisher Thomas Nelson said Tuesday it laid off 55 employees.

Employees were told about the layoffs this morning, said Lindsey Nobles, company spokeswoman. Nobles declined further comment. She declined to discuss specifics on which departments were affected by the layoffs, but said the layoffs occurred throughout the company.

  1. Big Idea layed off a HUGE portion of their workforce this week too. They’re down to just 11. The marketing department, a designer, and Larry the Cucumber.
