NAPLES, Fla. – Former Tennessee Sen. Fred Thompson quit the Republican presidential race on Tuesday, after a string of poor finishes in early primary and caucus states.
ADVERTISEMENT“Today, I have withdrawn my candidacy for president of the United States. I hope that my country and my party have benefited from our having made this effort,” Thompson said in a statement.
Actually was Fred really ever in the race for the presidency? I am still confused about the lack of energy of his campaign given that he was all but drafted into the race.
Well at least we don’t have to worry about the native son here in Tennessee anymore.
Everytime I send a message to you on Facebook, it freezes when I click “send.” I don’t know if it sent even though it froze or what . . . So weird . . . I tried to let you know last week that I won’t be able to make the event. So sorry that I’m just now thinking about leaving a message on your blog instead.
I hope it all comes together for you!
