Adam and others have posted on the recent disaster in Asia and I don’t have much more to add other than to remind folks that the death toll so far is equal to three 911’s. May we have as much compassion for those who suffer across the ocean as they had for us during our tragedy.
Master of the Universe, provider of all, we confess that we don’t understand natural disaster. We have little comprehension as to why the people of Asia are having to suffer. What we do know is that you have called us to love them, to remember that they are fellow humans with us. So lead us to care, lead us to give, lead us to be agents of your love. We pray this in the name of the suffering servant. Amen.
