Can You Tell I Got a New Toy???

I downloaded the new add-on for blogger at It uses an instant messaging approach to upload pictures to blogger, allowing you to photoblog via blogger. It’s been fun to take some pix today along the way.

I spent too much time playing at Provence, although I got Stacey’s blog updated a bit and showed him some tools to help him along the way.

While we were at Provence, we discovered we were sitting next to the The Homeless Guy (featured by Jordon Cooper and others). He’s a pretty nice guy who blogs via WIFI on a Dell and is both homeless and an advocate for the homeless. I encourage you to check out his site.

This afternoon I attended a session by Will Willimon on Prophetic Preaching. Will was his normal, ironic, self-deprecating and modest self. There were a few nuggets along the way, but I’ll save those for later.

The evening I attended another workshop by Doug Pagitt on preaching which totally messed with my mind and is making me question most of what I do. Doug maintains a communitarian bent to his entire theology of faith, which connects with where I’m at.

We had a little crisis when we discovered that Kay’s car had broken down in the McKendree Garage. Since the garage is closed on Saturday, it will be Sunday before we can do anything about it. What a pain!

Finally, we ended the day with a special presentation / concert by a group called Harp 46 in concert with Brian McLaren. I was too tired to really appreciate it, but I’m glad I went.

I need to blog later on the Women’s Breakfast. It was a good start to what I hope will be a successful program over time. But at two minutes until Midnight, I can’t say much about it.
