Well since I’m offering tributes, I might well mention Dan as well. He died a couple of weeks ago, but this song is fitting for the season.

I just learned that Oscar Peterson died at age 82. I once had the opportunity to see Oscar live and he was always impressive. Although he had the fastest fingers in jazz, it seems fitting to remember him playing the blues with the Count.
